Since the end of the Easter holidays, Covid self-tests have been held twice a week at the Professional College of Translation and Interpreting (Fachakademie) and Vocational College for Language Careers (Berufsfachschule). Classroom teaching is only in place for the graduating classes, and only students and pupils making use of these tests on site are allowed to take part in the lessons. Up-to-date information will be provided via elSDI and e-mail.
Unfortunately, there is still no news from the ministry with regard to reverting back to classroom teaching at the International University. In order to provide a basis for planning, the Presiding Committee of the university has decided to continue online teaching until 30 May 2021.We sincerely hope that we’ll be able to welcome back our students at the International University on 31 May 2021 again! As soon as we have more details, we will inform you via elSDI.
In the German as a Foreign Language department, all courses will continue to be held online. The telc and TestDaF examinations will be held on site in accordance with the regulations and in compliance with hygiene and distance rules.
Masks are compulsory throughout the building and on the premises. Be sure to wear an FFP2 mask or surgical mask whenever possible. Scarves are not enough! In addition, all the remaining Corona rules and safety measures with regards to social distancing and hygiene still apply – even with a negative test result!
Depending on the incidence rate (below 100), the library is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 09:00 a.m. and 03:00 p.m. Books can also be obtained by call & collect (+49 89 288102-27).
If you have any questions, the SDI team is always happy to help.
Stay healthy and hang in there!
