Graduate testimonials

I have spent quite a few years at the SDI and have grown a lot through the many different people I have met here. Through my professional training as a translator and interpreter and my subsequent Master's in International Media Communication (new: Digital Media Manager), I am now in the perfect position to build a successful career on several pillars.

The university is like a family. I was always able to have personal exchanges about my ideas with all the lecturers, developing my own thoughts in the process. Teamwork with fellow students also prompted me to come up with new ideas.
An intercultural background can be an advantage for this degree programme: It taught me to analyse media in terms of business models and to discuss strategies in the context of globalisation. As part of my final thesis, I conducted an analysis of TikTok in China and Germany and thus gained a deep understanding of the developments and trends in this exciting industry — digital media.
